69 Free Climbs/69 Days

This is an endurance, not a degree of difficulty, challenge. Begins on May 10 & runs through July 18—69 days. It symbolizes the uphill climb faced by combat troops, to honor their commitment and endurance—during & after they survive combat—to help spread awareness of the mental health crisis that is claiming so many of our veterans & raise funds for programming to help them & the millions of others with similar challenges—for whom they fought

Campaign Details

The Joel David Goodwin Memorial Challenge will raise  awareness of the mental health crisis that is claiming so many of our veterans--and funding for the local programs necessary to support them--and the people for whom they fought.

(Veterans make up about 8% of the population & about 20% of the suicides--around 22 a day. About 70% are over 50, which means they've been struggling for years, and women are the fastest growing group. We, as communities, not government, are the answer to bringing these men & women HOME!!)

You can sign on to my campaign to do 69 free climbs, start your own campaign--doing any climb that fits your age & ability--stairs, ramp, indoor climbing...or donate to a campaign--but

PLEASE -- we're losing neighbors, friends, family

--join us, encourage your friends to join the challenge. Help us raise awareness & funds to support them--and   US!
