Morracca- A TNR  SAFCC Success Story!

Morracca was living in the woods with a homeless person when SAFCC was asked to help. Although her "owner" was doing what they could to help her, Morracca had signs of extreme malnutition, dehydration and mange. As you can see from her picture, she was skinny, and her fur coat had balding spots.

A SAFCC volunteer trapped Morracca and a SAFCC foster took her in and immediately started Morracca on her road to recovery. After a medicated bath, lyme dip, and several rounds of meds and vet visits, Morracca started to improve. Her now beautiful fur coat is returning to its original glorious condition and her sweet, mellow personality has started to shine. Morracca is doing so well, she is now available for adoption. Thanks to our volunteer efforts, this has turned out to be quite a Cinderella story!

    We Help Community Cats!

San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition is the only organization whose sole purpose is to help community (outdoor/stray/feral) cats in San Antonio. We are an all-volunteer group dedicated to reducing the overpopulation of outside cats through our free Trap-Neuter-Return classes.

However, as Morracca's story demonstrates, our focus on community cats does not end at TNR. Through community outreach, we are advocates for community cats, our Cat Crisis Fund provides medical care for injured or ill cats, our adoption team gets friendly cats and kittens off the street and into a rescue or shelter, and our caretaker food program assists colony caretakers with food support.

Without SAFCC, Morracca would still be in the woods, ill and living off scraps, waiting for a happy ending that would most likely not come. More importantly, without you--our supporters--SAFCC would not be able to provide a happy ending and forever home to Morracca and the many cats like her. Our ability to provide community cats and the people that care for them our valuable services for free is through the generosity of people like you. Please consider taking a break from your holiday shopping and give today in support of community cats.
