If your heart has been touched by an old dog, you know how much they have to teach us about loyalty, compassion, and eternal love.
The old dogs that share our hearts and homes are part of our family. Sadly, many old dogs are not that fortunate. Senior dogs slow down. They develop medical issues. And many find themselves alone, afraid, and at-risk in shelters across the country.
The Grey Muzzle Organization creates happy endings to these heartbreaking stories--on a national scale. We improve the lives of at-risk senior dogs by providing grants and other resources to animal welfare organizations nationwide. Examples of the kinds of programs we support include in-home hospice care, Seniors for Seniors adoption programs, medical assistance and beds for old dogs at shelters, and education programs to encourage adoption and quality care of senior dogs.
Please Show Your Love for Senior Dogs and make a donation in honor of a dog you love or someone else in your life. Your generous donation will help us serve even more at-risk senior dogs. Together we can create a world where no old dog dies alone and afraid. And what a beautiful world that would be. Who has your heart?
Your Donations at Work
The Grey Muzzle Organization grants help at-risk senior dogs like Charlie get the medical care they desperately need. With your support, we will continue to ensure happy endings for homeless and at-risk senior dogs. Please donate and share!
Meet Charlie whose guardian, Karen, would not have had the resources to provide the costly surgery she needed in order to live out her golden years free of pain. Karen reached out to Fairy Tail Endings, which is dedicated to helping financially struggling families to keep their pets and provide proper care through financial aid, product and service donations, education and outreach.
Here is the kind of happy ending your generosity makes possible:
"A grant from Grey Muzzle to Fairy Tail Endings allowed my beautiful, loving Charlie the treatment she desperately needed for a torn ACL. Three months later she is finally walking--three miles a day--without pain. She loves her walks--she actually trots! Having recently been diagnosed with cancer, I will be starting chemo soon and can't imagine not having Charlie by my side. With the stress of treatment and the financial obligations I am more thankful than ever for your support. Charlie and I will be walking, if not running, a 5k in March, and she'll be wearing a shirt that says, 'Charlie, a miracle dog thanks to the support of Grey Muzzle and Fairy Tail Endings.'" --Karen Hagin and Charlie
