Thrown away when she got really sick💔

Urgent help needed for Hygee!

*** Some of these images are graphic ***

Look into those eyes and tell her she doesn't deserve to live happy and loved... Her sweet face is confused over what has happened in the time since we lifted her from the street. A bowl of delicious food along with kind words are not what she's used to. The gentle hands of a vet is likely new to her too. Through her years as a breeding moneymaker, her owner never bothered with vets, which is why she got thrown away like trash. Get sick and you get discarded.

Hygee has several diseases, along with the most obvious issue of a deep infected wound on her backside.

She is safe now but she desperately needs costly vet care. Will you please help her?

Campaign Details

Yesterday, I received a message from a guy asking me to help a sick and starved dog that would not leave his property and was concerned for her safety. He sent me a video of her outside of his front door and she didn’t look good...so I said I would go check but without any promises.

She was hiding in the garden. She got up after she saw me fixing food. The swarming of flies surrounded her till she was going crazy. She was riddled with sarcoptic mange and smelled putrid. It wasn't until she turned that I noticed the horrible wound...that’s where the putrid smell was coming from.

After she ate, I lifted her and thank God, she didn’t try to bite me when I placed her in my car. To the vet we went...

The vet said she had an ulcer that got horribly infected and burst open and was left untreated for a long time; HW, Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis positive, severely anemic, sarcoptic mange, and overbred. So so sad...

My only hope is that Hygee will live to be happy...

Hygee will stay at the clinic for a while and we already have a foster home lined up for when she is released, because we are full now and all intakes have closed.

Please help her... please.

After 12 days being treated at the vet clinic, Hygee is out with us. The horrible ulcers are starting to dry and are reduced in size. There is so much wrong with her health but we are going to do everything possible to get her healthy.

Thank you for your unconditional support and for being there to help the innocent dogs of Nassau, Bahamas ❤️

    Love,
    Chella & Pawtcake

Today I visited Hygee... She recognized me and was so happy doing her sweet little dance... To my sadness, in just 4 days, another ulcer burst open.

She is eating fine and is getting the proper medications to help her heal, but it is going to take time for her to fully recover, considering she has several diseases.

It makes me happy that she is being cared for and not suffering on the streets alone, though she still has a long road ahead of her.

On behalf of Hygee and myself, thank you for your donations to cover her medical.❤️

    Love,
    Chella & Pawtcake
