Care for Former Shelter Dog

Brianna spent 4 years in a shelter without medical treatment needed to correct her rear legs. I adopted her.

The shelter labeled her an aggressive dog. It was only volunteers that she became familiar with and accepted as her family. I volunteered to include her in my routine. It was then I noticed she did not want to walk very far, and we hung out together. Once out of this surrounding, she was very good living with me and my other rescued female dog from the same shelter. I was able to socialize her with other dogs and humans in my home with further training. My vet recommended surgery to be performed at Animal Medical Center in New York stating that she was still young and obviously in a lot of pain. Due to an accident I had which landed me in the Trauma Center; I am physically in daily pain for the rest of my life and lost my 14 hour a week job at minimum wage due to their financial problems. I have never asked for financial assistance before, but I would be extremely grateful if you could find it in your heart to help my girl achieve the life she was meant to live – in comfort and in good health.
