Legal fees for fighting fascism

Micah Rhodes is serving 30 months in prison for the crime of being a gay, black activist. After years spent organizing against white supremacy, the state found one instance of consensual sex between 20-year old Micah and his almost 18-year old best friend. Despite a non-unanimous jury verdict and a "victim" who was never victimized, he was found guilty of this "crime".

Every penny or share helps Micah fight the industrial prison complex.

Campaign Details

Micah Rhodes is currently appealing his outrageously unjust conviction and needs our help to pay his legal fees and regain his freedom.

After years of successful organizing against the rise of a fascist regime and white supremacy apologists, the state decided they’d had enough and went on a witch hunt. They landed on an instance of consensual sex that occurred between Micah and his best friend when the latter was two months shy of turning 18. Despite the fact that his “victim” did not wish to press charges and there was not a unanimous decision reached by the jury, he was found guilty of this “crime.”

A civil rights lawyer is handling Micah's appeal for a fraction of the amount an appellate attorney would normally charge. Please donate if you can and/or share this campaign.
