Wendy Walk 2018 - Let's Find a Cure

This page is to honor Ryan Paul Cioffari, who passed away in July 2013 from pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma. Ryan fought his extremely brief battle with the most positive attitude, humility and strength. We miss him every day. Through Wendy Walk, it is my personal goal to raise awareness and funds so those fighting the disease have better, more compatible treatment options and those caregivers do not have to feel the heartbreak my family and I feel.

Campaign Details

"... cancer turns the old cliche on its head. It can... make you stronger, all at the same time." - Stuart Scott

It is surreal to think we are already almost at the five year mark since Ryan's passing. On Sunday, April 8th, I will participate in the Miami walk in his honor as well as Wendy's and all other sarcoma warriors.

Ali, Matt, and Jackie Landes founded Wendy Walk in 2010 to raise funds and awareness for their mother, Wendy, who was diagnosed with Liposarcoma, an aggressive and rare form of cancer. Although she passed away in March 2013, her legacy has been kept alive through the organization and continues to be an inspiration to others battling the disease. Wendy Walk is committed to helping families cope with the unique challenges sarcoma brings and provides courage, strength & hope to families and patients battling this vicious disease. The organization hosts charitable athletic and social events all over the country, most notably are the walks each spring in Miami, NYC-Central Park and LA.

Over $3.5 million has already been raised which allows Wendy Walk to continually fulfill its mission to find and develop new innovative treatments for sarcoma and serve as a valuable resource for those impacted by this rare disease. One of the biggest goals is to continue to send strong messages of hope & encouragement to these patients along with developing a larger sense of community.

It would truly mean so much to my family and I if you please make a donation and kindly share this campaign with others. TOGETHER, we will find a cure.

With warmest regards and sincerest thanks,

Robyn and The Cioffari Family
