Raging Flesh, Broken leg, Untold Story

Urgent help needed for Quinn!

Abandoned in a shelter, she arrived with wounds that are hard to comprehend. The explanation from her previous owners? "We woke up and she was like this." But wounds like hers don't appear overnight. And they decided to just leave her like this. Can you believe that!?

She's just a young girl, barely at the beginning of her life, yet the burn-like wounds that mar her face and body tell a story of neglect so profound that it feels almost surreal.

She's also enduring the agony of a severely broken hind leg, fractured in two places.

While we may never know the full truth of what she endured, we know this: she needs help now. Desperately.

Fragments of Quinn's flesh hang. Patches of fur have disappeared, exposing inflamed, blood-red skin that oozes a silent suffering. Her little frame trembles, not just from fear, but from fever, from infection, and heartbreak.

Every inch of her is painful to touch. And yet, through all of it, she hasn’t given up, and she is as sweet as can be.

Quinn faces an urgent battle. Before she can undergo life-saving surgery, her infections must be brought under control. The risk of life-threatening complications looms.

Quinn didn’t wake up like this. She’s likely endured this torment for far longer than anyone should ever have to. But now, she has a chance at recovery — if we act.

No creature should suffer like this.

Quinn’s healing journey won’t be easy, but with your help, it’s possible.

Any amount will get us closer to helping her.

Gentle, sweet Quinn continues to amaze us with her quiet resilience. This young girl has been through so much, she’s proving to be the most patient, loving little soul, with the most adorable butterfly wing ears you’ve ever seen.

Her skin is healing beautifully, and while we’re still unsure if surgery will be necessary or even possible, we’re giving her time to grow stronger, to rest, and to heal—one careful step at a time.

She’s safe now. She’s loved. And she’s no longer invisible. Thank you for walking this journey with her! You are one of her angels.

    Big hugs,
    Hounds in Pounds

We're excited to share an update about little Quinn. She was in rough shape when she first arrived, but we’re discovering that beneath all those painful wounds and injuries is an amazingly sweet little warrior. She is less than a year old, and for most of her life, she has been invisible... until NOW.

Quinn is receiving the best possible tender care: medicated baths, oral medications, and gentle attention. She's already feeling some relief, and her skin is beginning to show signs of healing.

Surgery for her leg isn’t an option yet — her skin is too fragile, and we can’t risk MRSA. The break is beginning to heal, and we’ll reassess once her body is stronger.

Despite everything, Quinn is sweet, trusting, and full of a quiet strength. She leans into love like she’s been waiting for it her whole life.

We truly appreciate all your support and care; we wouldn't be able to do this without you. Thank you!

So many people reached out and suggested calling the police and involving law enforcement, but the reality is that for Quinn and many dogs like her across the country, the legal system can't help or won't help. Instead, what we can do is street justice. Stepping into the fire and saving as many as we can. And you're right here with us.

    Big hugs,
    Hounds in Pounds

Thanks to your compassion and tremendous support, we said yes to saving sweet Quinn. We dove in wholeheartedly, and you were right there with us.

The shelter did its best to clean her up—wiping away the blood, the infection, the oozing. Thanks to their tender care, she already looks a little better. But the real healing begins now.

Quinn is now out of the shelter and safe with our veterinary partner. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated volunteers, Abby and Geoff, who drove over 3.5 hours to ensure her safety. You made this rescue possible.

Quinn is receiving intensive treatment to fight the infections ravaging her body. Once stable, she will undergo surgery to repair her fractured leg and begin the journey toward healing.

She didn’t give up—so neither will we.

Please keep Quinn in your thoughts. She has a long road ahead, but for the first time in her life, she’s surrounded by love.

Thank you for standing with her. Your kindness saved her life.

    Big hugs,
    Hounds in Pounds
