Poly's Fund

Poly is a blind Pit Bull that was left all alone on a bench in a park. She was lucky enough to be rescued - and now she wants to "Paw It Forward" by helping other doggies that have been abandoned, severely neglected and viciously abused. These dogs would die on the street without Poly's help.

THANK YOU FOR DONATING, SHARING AND CARING!!!

Updates

  • Update

Hello Poly fans, friends and supporters!

We wanted to send out an email blast to those of you who supported Poly's initial fundraiser to let you know (in case you didn't) that sadly we lost our sweet girl on Wednesday, April 27. Even with the heart surgery and medications and high quality foods, her heart just could not sustain her life any longer. She passed in the arms of the people who loved her most. We are still in tears.

This Saturday we will be holding a Memorial Balloon Release for Poly. Please see: https://www.givinggrid.com/pinkballoonsforpoly/

Deadline for participation is noon tomorrow, Friday May 6.

If you haven't been following Poly's Facebook page, please take some time and read thru her "Dear Diary" entries... there are a lot of laughs and sweet moments: https://www.facebook.com/PolyBlindPibble/

We will be leaving Poly's Facebook page up and running so that we can continue her legacy of "helping hurted doggies."

Again, thank you for your support. You helped Poly - and us - to make a huge difference in the lives of many, many dogs... and  you helped us give Poly the best 6 months of her short life.

    Love and hugs,

Poly and the Rescue Ladies at Foreverhome Pet Rescue, Inc. and http://www.polysfund.org

Campaign Details

In mid-October 2015, Poly was left alone on a park bench in Santa Barbara County - she was blind and too afraid to get off the bench. The Animal Control Officer that picked her up that day snapped a photo of how scared and sad she was on that bench. Foreverhome Pet Rescue, Inc. in Los Angeles saw the photo and stepped up to help her. Since her rescue it has been discovered that Poly has a severe heart condition that will drastically shorten her life. FHPR created a Facebook page for Poly to document her rehabilitation and recovery, as well as to raise funds for heart surgery. Poly's story (with the tearful sad bench photo) ended up going viral and Poly became "phamus" :)

Poly has decided that she wants to "Paw It Forward" and help other doggies like her that need medical care after being neglected and abused - and she knows that her friends and supporters want to help them too... so we created Poly's Fund [a program of Foreverhome Pet Rescue, Inc.] to do just that. All donations are tax deductible.
