#GivingTuesday for Peppertree!

For almost the last 2 years, COVID-19 has devastated our fundraising efforts. Almost all of our in-person fundraising, which we heavily rely on, has been canceled or limited. At the same time, our rescue expenses have dramatically increased. Dogs seem to be in greater need then ever before. We need your help.  Our volunteers give their time, love, and energy, but that is not enough.

November 30th is #GivingTuesday. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good and help others. Please help us continue to do the work we love, to help us do good, and to keep helping dogs in need.

Fundraise for this Campaign

Campaign Details

While we are so grateful to our community of supporters for helping us do the important work we do - in terms of our expenses versus our donations this was a hard year for us.  We had to make decisions based on taking in dogs based on whether we could afford their medical care - we never want to leave a dog in need. Last year our average cost per dog was over $1000 per dog - this year we expect it to be even higher.

GivingTuesday falls on November 30th, four days after Black Friday and the day after Cyber Monday. We ask that if at all possible, you try to spend just a tiny bit less on those days, so that you can give a tiny bit to us. If we can get enough people to give us a small amount, we can head into the New Year with renewed finances, and strength.  Our volunteers give so much, but time, love and energy are not enough.

Why do we give?  We give because of dogs like Magdalina who lived for years without medical treatment.

Why do we give?  We give because of dogs like Maddy who never found a forever home, but was given every chance to find that home, and left this world loved.

Why do we give?  We give because of Nika, a dog who took years to find her home, and once she did filled that home with the love it was missing.

Why do we give?  We give because of Cocoa Bean, Penny and Mollie.  Penny was adopted out by us and when her owner became ill, we not only took this feisty 16 year old dog, but also her two senior "sisters."  Because family is important, and those who adopt are also family.

We also know that a lot of people are struggling too, so if you're not in the position to donate, you can also help by sharing our campaign with others you think might want to help or even better, start your own fundraising campaign by clicking the button above that says “Fundraise for this Campaign.” It’s so simple.

Somehow we always find a way to make it through for our dogs, and we know it is because of the support of all of you.  Peppertree Rescue has been a part of this community for over 20 years and has helped save so many dogs, but, without financial support our mission cannot be met.

Please continue that support, please help us help Peppertree dogs.

Thank you!
