No More Hungry Family Pets

The economy has taken a toll on families. With the cost of food, rent, utilities, and everyday essentials continuing to rise, people are struggling just to survive and are being forced to choose between feeding themselves and feeding the pets they love.

In June, when we launched our first pet food bank at Hour Children in Queens; We were shocked by the overwhelming response. Nearly 95% of the people who came to receive food for their families walked directly over to our table for help feeding their pets; many with tears in their eyes.Ā

The need was far greater than we ever imagined and we ran out of food.

That's why we're back at it on August 25th. This time, we're raising our goal to meet the overwhelming demand and ensure we don't run out.

Can you please help us keep families together?Ā ā¤ļø

NYC Second Chance Rescue

About the Organization

In 2009, NYC Second Chance Rescue began as a small dream, founded on the firm belief that all animals deserve love and care, and that no animal should ever be subjected to abuse, neglect or homelessness. All proceeds go directly to the animals, and to date, we have relied solely on donations from loyal supporters. Our mission is to offer a second chance to those animals less fortunate — those with critical medical, emotional or behavioral issues.
