Campaign Details

If you grew up in Kansas, you're probably familiar with the sights, sounds, and smells of planting or harvest season. Combines rolling through the wheat fields, cattle grazing pasture, the sun setting on a newly planted crop. All of those images culminate in a delicious meal shared with loved ones, in which you give thanks to the farmers and ranchers that produced it.

Today's generation is much further removed from the agriculture community and unfortunately do not make the connection between the farm or ranch, and the food, fuel or fiber that they consume or use on a daily basis.

It is our goal to bring agriculture knowledge and understanding to today's youth so that they are better informed to make wise decisions regarding food, and most importantly, have a deep appreciation for where it comes from.

Through relevant resources for Kansas educators, multiple professional development workshop opportunities, and hands-on activities that are aligned with current Kansas curriculum standards, KFAC is able to help teachers bring agriculture to their classrooms in a more positive, efficient, and engaging manner.

But we cannot do it on our own. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization that is 100% donor funded and we need your help. Your dollars help us in the development and printing of classroom resources and materials including lesson plans, Kids Connection magazines and educator's guides about crops and natural resources. Your dollars allow us to conduct in-service professional development workshops for teachers across the state, giving them fresh ideas on how to incorporate agriculture into their science, math, social studies and language arts classes. Your dollars help us instill confidence in Kansas teachers to utilize agriculture on a daily basis in their curriculum.

Please join our mission of "Connecting Classrooms to Kansas Agriculture" by donating today during our #KFACGivingTuesday campaign.
