Campaign Details
For the past 35 years, Village Playhouse has presented an annual one-act festival featuring the work of Wisconsin playwrights. Due to COVID-19, this year's festival was not produced. In these uncertain times, the arts are needed more than ever. The arts are an iconic part of the history of humanity, telling stories of love and tragedy, inspiring the imaginations of millions.
Village Playhouse is presenting the one act play "... but I'm just not IN LOVE with It" by Michael Lucchesi, featuring Village Playhouse members Vivian Moller and Scott Sorensen, premiering via Facebook Live at 7:30 PM on Tuesday September 8, 2020, celebrating National Actors' Day and our festival of original works by Wisconsin playwrights.
This will be the first of six selected one act plays to be live streamed through the 2020-2021 season We are excited to use technology to bring you the 35th Annual Original One Act Festival. It takes a Village to do what we do (see what we did there?) and we need your financial support.
The Village Playhouse strives to be an open and inclusive environment for all who wish to grow through theater. We aim to produce a wide variety of plays that reflect the multitude of voices that are present in our hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our goal is to help our volunteers push the boundaries of what they thought was possible and to stimulate the community we serve with thought-provoking productions, both classic and new.
Village Playhouse is a 501c3 organization and all donations are tax deductible according to IRS guidelines.
It would mean so much if you donate and also share this campaign on your social media. Thank you for your support. It truly takes a Village!
