Paw it Forward #GivingTuesday

Help save the lives of homeless dogs and cats in our community.

By donating and uploading a photo of the pet who has your heart, you will help us care for those dogs and cats who still need a family to love. Please make a #GivingTuesday gift on behalf of your pet and show the world that you have a special place in your heart for the animals.

Celebrate the holidays by knowing you saved lives, four paws at a time.

November 29th is #GivingTuesday. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good and help others. We're asking for your help...

Thank you so much for your continued support! The pets you've posted on the Giving Grid hold a special place in your heart and your lives and we appreciate that you've shared them with us along with your generous donation. As of this morning, we have raised $2,375 through the Giving Grid and once we have totals from the other Giving Tuesdays platforms we will be sure to send an update.

You have helped save lives, four paws at a time and the animals in our community are grateful to you for your love and devotion to those who cannot speak for themselves.

    For the animals,

    Rick Yocum

Campaign Details

Each year, the Humane Society of Manatee County cares for more than 700 dogs and cats who are neglected, unwanted, unable to stay with their families through no fault of their own, or in desperate need of veterinary care. With your support, they can have a second chance to have a loving family and steal their hearts, just like your pet has done.

You can help save dogs like Bluebell, who was transferred from a high-kill shelter, ready to give birth any day. You can help save cats like Nikki, who was found roaming the streets with a large abscess on her face. She is being given continual medical treatment and spends her days helping our staff in the call center answer calls from clients.

GivingTuesday falls on November 29th, four days after Black Friday and the day after Cyber Monday. We ask that if at all possible, you try to spend just a tiny bit less on those days so that you can give a tiny bit to us. If we can get enough people to give us a small amount, we can get through the end of the year and hopefully beyond.

We also know that a lot of you are struggling too, so if you're not in the position to donate, you can also help by sharing our campaign with others you think might want to help, or even better, start your own fundraising campaign by clicking the button above that says “Fundraise for this Campaign.” It’s so simple.

Thank you!
