We need some #GivingTuesday Love!

It's holiday time, but we can't candy coat this; COVID-19 has devastated our fundraising efforts. Almost all of our in-person fundraising, which we heavily rely on, has been canceled. At the same time, our rescue efforts have dramatically increased. These are unprecedented times and people seem to be abandoning their pets more than ever. We're hurting!

#GivingTuesday was created to be a day of giving and we're pleading for your help... Thank you

Great news! Yesterday was the actual GIVING TUESDAY, and thanks to so many of our wonderful supporters, like YOU, we raised over 50% of our goal!

Our goal is $5,000, and, as of yesterday, we have $2,600!

Purr-haps there are some people you know who would like to donate to our Giving Grid.

If so, just forward the link: https://www.givinggrid.com/gt2020/

You can always view how we are doing by going to that link. It's fun to see pictures of others' pets, too!

Next step: 75%, and we'll definitely let you know when we reach it!

Meantime, take care and stay well.

P.S. This is handsome Marley, a lynx point Siamese. If you missed his story, and others', on the video, be sure to go back and view it.

Campaign Details

While we are so grateful to our community of supporters for helping us survive this long, we are continuing to struggle, in terms of our expenses versus our donations. We don’t know how much longer we can sustain this trend, but we can’t stop saving the fur kids. Our work is too important, so we need to get through this somehow. The world has stopped, but our work has not. These pictures show our most needy cases. We currently have a an elderly cat named Max who is being treated for a thyroid issue. Earlier this year, our vet treated a severely malnourished kitten, Nacho, and brought him back from the brink. One of our volunteers is fostering a deaf cat, Dazzle, who was living by a freeway and now will be seeing a specialist for stomach issues. Another cat, Autumn, is in foster care recovering from stomatitis, painful mouth tissue & many tooth extractions, and adorable kitten Marley, rescued from the streets, is being treated for a bad case of mange. Then, there is Muriel, one of our "lifers," who is not only deaf, but also has chronic diarrhea. This is on top of the regular veterinary visits for all of our cats, such as kitten vaccines, spay and neuter, exams, food, and litter. CLICK THE ARROWS TO SEE THEM IN THE VIDEO AND ALSO IN THE PHOTOS.

GivingTuesday falls on December 1st, at the start of the big holiday month. We ask that if at all possible, you try to spare a tiny bit for us. If we can get enough people to give us a tiny bit, we can get through the end of the year and maybe beyond. We would even more be grateful, if you could help a little now, in the spirit GivingTuesday. We could really use it...

We always appreciate the support of every one of you, our donors, adopters, volunteers, fosters, and sponsors for the benefit of those precious souls.

This time, we are depending on it.

We also know that a lot of you are struggling too, so if you’re not in the position to donate, you can also help by sharing our campaign with others you think might want to help or even better, start your own fundraising campaign by clicking the button above that says “Fundraise for this Campaign.” It’s so simple.

This time feels different. This time there's doubt. This time we need some magic. We need your help.

Thank you!

Lifeline for Pets

About the Organization

Lifeline for Pets is a small but mighty caring, no-kill, rescue. We currently mostly have cats and kittens. Many of our cats are "lifers," meaning that they have not ever been adopted, are seniors, or are special needs. Some are semi-feral. These cats are with us for life. Many require expensive veterinary treatments. Our Mission Statement and more about us are on our website's About Us page, www.lifelineforpets.org. Please visit! Thank you.
