Campaign Details
Throughout the years PBFL has changed from rescue to Sanctuary status as we are strong believers that all dogs are manageable. Some dogs just need the right home not a now home.
Pit Bulls for Life accepts dogs from local shelters or humane societies, registered nonprofit rescue organizations, animal control(s) and veterinary surrenders. Pit Bulls for Life does not accept dogs from private surrenders or private rescues.
The term “Pit Bull” includes the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog or any crossbreed resembling the above list that has been discriminated against or deemed a “Pit Bull” type dog.
PBFL has established its reputation in the rescue world as a Responsible Rescue with a low to no kill policy for our Sanctuary. Dogs that enter our program are assessed, managed and cared for throughout their lives in a stable consistent environment. With the help of competent trainers, canine care specialists and licensed veterinarians’, dogs are properly assessed, and a life plan is implemented within the first few weeks. Dogs are then put up for adoption in their respectable programs (Sanctuary, MDP, or Adoptable) according to their unique needs.
