Some GivingTuesday & Holiday Love!

Close intake or keep pushing through? We need your help to continue our mission- we simply cannot keep rescuing without you.

We are desperate. We can't continue at this rate. Donations are the lowest they have been since we opened in 2017. But bills and costs keep coming.

We're hurting, but our work can't end. We can't sick or injured animals go untreated or worse, be euthanized, just because there's no room and no money. We have saved over 1600 lives- we will not stop. But we can't do that without you.

In the spirit of GivingTuesday and the holiday season, please help us and the animals we care for!

This is the sad reality at overcrowded shelters and rescues across the country. The shelters are doing their absolute best to save lives, but this is just not sustainable. They have limited kennels, limited resources, and limited support. Rescues were once the "savior" for these shelters- able to partner and move animals into rescues with foster homes and a long list of adopters. Unfortunately that is no longer the case, but how can we turn our back on our partners who are also struggling? How do we tell them to euthanize a pregnant mom, a litter of puppies, or an ill animal who just needs basic antibiotics? We can't. We can't not try. We can't say no and let animals leave this earth way too soon. We MUST keep fundraising so we can continue to bring animals into rescue.  It is not just dogs that need help- our feline friends do as well! This is why we continue to beg for help. Their lives are in danger. They need all of us to do more, to do better.

These are the faces of thousands of dogs who sit in shelters across the country. They are shut down, scared, ill or hurt and uncertain of where their future lies. A narrative that plays out far too often.

These dogs sit in a shelter, waiting for their chance to find their own family. The truth is that a lot of animals won’t make it out. Their biggest advocates are the volunteers and staff telling their stories to the public. They love them, and often, the love they give these homeless animals is the only love they will ever know.

They need us, and we are confident that with your help, we can save more...

December 2nd is GivingTuesday. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good and help others. If we can get enough people to give us a small amount, we can get through this mess. We're pleading for your help... We need to catch a break.

While we are so grateful to our community of supporters for helping us survive this long, we are continuing to struggle and unfortunately moving backwards, in terms of our expenses versus our donations.

Somehow, we always find a way to make it through for the benefit of those precious souls. Sometimes it almost seems impossible and we look back and wonder how we got by. Then we quickly remember, our miracle is you!

Thank you for helping us in honor of GivingTuesday and in the spirit of the holidays…

Safe With Us Animal Rescue

About the Organization

Safe With Us Animal Rescue is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. We are 100% operated by volunteers, and are financially supported by donations and fundraisers. Our dogs come to us from local owner surrenders, local shelters, and out of state. Our southern rescue partners rely on us to help them save lives and get dogs off the streets and into loving homes. We have a passion to fight for the voiceless, and to help whenever, and wherever we can.
