Help save the last 77 dogs!

We urgently need your help!

We must find placement for every dog that has called Pawtcake Refuge home since leaving the brutal streets of Nassau.

Our June eviction date is near and we must be ready to vacate the property. There are still too many dogs at the refuge waiting for their place on an airlift. If time runs out, they can't go back on the streets where they came from…that could mean death for those who forgot how to fend for themselves, or the few who never had to learn how.

Transports will be ongoing, as we find more rescues to take in dogs. We badly need funds and rescue partners, so please help and share our page!!

Help us fly my babies out of here to safety…

Campaign Details

Our first airlift for May is complete and 59 dogs have begun their journey to forever homes. We had a stressful week, getting everyone ready, and then having a delay from our intended Saturday flight. Monday morning came and my babies went onto the plane, confused and maybe a little scared, but they have opportunities now that they never could have gotten here on the island where they were born.

I wish I could explain to them what was happening, so there wouldn’t be any fear involved. AlI I could do is tell them how much I love them and that they’ll be happy again, once they can see how wonderful it is to have a loving family of their own. My heart is both broken from missing them already, and full, from knowing how much our supporters have helped us to give them this chance.

THANK YOU to all our amazing supporters and friends, who gave their hard earned dollars to our fundraiser. Without your donations, our airlifts could never happen. We have more flights planned for May, as our time until the June eviction deadline is fast approaching. Please continue to share and help with our fundraiser, so that the others can get on their own flight to freedom.

Million thanks to:
Georgina Bloomberg
Kate McEntee

To all the amazing transporters who came to take my babies to their rescues. THANK YOU!
The list is too long and we don't want to miss anyone that helped us make this airlift come true!
…………….
THANK YOU to all of my loyal refuge staff who spent hours ensuring the dogs would be ready to go in time. The dogs love you for your gentle caring hands and I love you for being with me in the difficult times we’ve shared. Your loyalty has been everything…

Please help us to build the airlift fundraiser for the next flight!!

The landlord has agreed to give us till the end of August, seeing that half of the amount of dogs have already left the refuge. This gives us a little extra time for our rescue friends to help us again when they have space available to welcome more.

Wednesday, June 19th, was a very emotional day at the refuge...

Saying goodbye to Lofe, after being with us for 4 years, wasn’t easy to do.
The little boy I brought starved almost to death from his own pathetic family, terrified of his own shadow, left smiling, healed, and happy, celebrating his 17th birthday with us.

I hope you will understand the reason why he couldn’t stay with us. He needs a steady home, and after August we don’t know what will happen to us; all we know is that, after the end of August our time is up. No more extension! The end! Finito!

17 new dogs came in, even after our eviction, raising the numbers, but it was that, or leave them on the streets to die.
77 beautiful souls are waiting to be chosen for our next airlift and we need to start digging for rescues all over again. Although we have stopped all intake, we still have 77 mouths to feed every day and trips to the vet continue non-stop.

Please help us to remain afloat with the care of my babies. We have used our emergency funds paying for treatments and surgeries to dozens of my kids all over the States and we don’t even see the end of it.

Help us to fund more airlifts to take my babies away from here, so they can get the futures that they deserve. They still need your support with both funds and rescue connections. Please don’t write us off because we are not done here yet…
