Not a very happy holiday for this girl.

Urgent help needed for Eliana!

Alone in the middle of a field, her frail body told a story of unimaginable neglect. Starving to death, she was so weak she could barely stand, falling over with each attempt.

We can only guess how long she suffered, forgotten and left to waste away. Her name is Eliana, and her story shattered us. This sweet, innocent soul has endured a level of neglect and abuse that no living being should ever face. She was found emaciated, broken, and teetering on the brink of death.

Our favorite saying is "dum spiro, spero" - while I breathe, I hope. She is hoping and so are we! We couldn't turn our backs on Eliana.

With your help, her story changes today.

Campaign Details

Right now, as you read this, Eliana is in route to the emergency vet, fighting for her life. She will receive critical care to address the damage her fragile body has endured. The truth is, we don’t know what the future holds for her. But we do know this: while she fights, we fight alongside her.

We made a promise to Eliana: Never again. She will never again know hunger, loneliness, or pain. But we can’t keep that promise without you.

Eliana deserves to know what love feels like. She deserves to wake up one day in a world that isn’t so cruel. A world where her body no longer hurts, her belly is full, and she knows only kindness.

But we can’t do this without you.

We know her medical bills are going to be staggering. We know the road ahead will be long. But Eliana is worth every single moment, every single dollar, and every single tear. She has already survived so much. We are praying it’s not too late to save her, to show her the life she should have had all along.

Thank you for being her hope, her strength, and her miracle. Together, we can show her that the world can be kind. Let’s show Eliana she is worth fighting for… Let's give her the holiday she deserves.

She is healthy and happy, although she prefers to be the only dog in a home, at the moment.

    Eliana is doing amazing!

Her PCV recheck showed her levels at 40 which means her body is starting to regenerate her blood cells. You could also tell she’s feeling better. She has a lot more energy and is a lot more playful than when we first got her. She is a total lap dog and tries to climb on her foster‘s lap any chance she gets.

    Love,
    The SNARR Team

We have incredible news to share for the start of 2025! Our sweet warrior, Eliana has left the vet and is home in foster care!!

After fighting so hard for her life, this brave girl pulled through thanks to the life-saving blood transfusion from her hero donor, Rocko.

Elaina is looking SO much better already, and her sweet, gentle spirit continues to shine brighter every day. She’s now on a strict re-feeding diet to help her regain her strength and health, and she’s taking it all in stride like the champ she is.

We couldn’t be prouder of this girl or more grateful for the outpouring of love and support from her amazing village. Especially Dr. Martinez at McAllen Urgent Vet. Thank you to everyone who cheered her on, donated toward her care, and kept her in your hearts.

Here’s to a healthy and happy new year to all of you, our amazing supporters and for all the precious lives we will save together in 2025!!

A Miracle Named Eliana: An Update from the Heart

We are overjoyed to share an update on Eliana, a survivor whose journey has touched us all. Just days ago, she was mere hours—if not minutes—from death. When SNARR stepped in, we didn’t know if it was too late, but her fighting spirit and your generosity gave her a chance. We couldn’t turn our backs on her, and Eliana couldn’t give up.

After a critical few days in the ICU and a lifesaving blood transfusion, Eliana has stunned us all with her recovery. Her turnaround is nothing short of a miracle. Thanks to your unwavering support and her determination, Eliana is here today, making strides we never thought possible.

Currently, Eliana is being fed small, frequent meals to prevent refeeding syndrome, a risk for dogs who have been severely starved. She is heartworm positive, but she’s not yet strong enough for treatment. For now, her doctors are closely monitoring her until she’s medically cleared to begin the next phase of care.

In even more incredible news, her red blood cell count is holding steady at a remarkable 40%!!! The black doggy below, was happy to be Eliana's blood donor.

We are beyond thrilled to share this update and want to express our deepest gratitude to every single one of you who stepped up to save Eliana. Your compassion, generosity, and belief in her potential to thrive made this miracle possible. And, we're now at almost 90% of our goal!!

From all of us—and from Eliana—thank you.

    With endless gratitude,
    The SNARR Team

When we first laid eyes on Eliana, she was so frail and broken, it was hard to believe she was still breathing. The video of her collapsing crushed our souls and literally made us gasp.

When her bloodwork came back, our hearts shattered. Her hematocrit was so low that the vet couldn’t believe she was alive—let alone conscious. The grim reality is that she should not have survived this long, but Eliana’s spirit is strong.

Right now, she’s at the vet, clinging to life by the thinnest of threads.

She received an emergency blood transfusion and fluids to stabilize her, but her fight is far from over. Eliana has a long and grueling road ahead of her, filled with more diagnostics, treatments, and the tender care she’s been denied for far too long.

What we know so far- Eliana is loaded with parasites to the point that we think that along, with starvation is what almost killed her. She is Heartworm positive, we tested her tick disease and are awaiting the results. Eliana was so loaded with fleas, that we could see them crawling around on her and her blanket. This girl was put through too much.

We want to thank you bigtime for caring and donating for Eliana. As we mentioned earlier, we are not giving up on her, but this is going to be very expensive. At this time, unfortunately, we've only achieved 71% of our goal, so please continue to share her campaign with others you think might want to help too.

    Thank you and Happy Holidays,
    SNARR
