Kitten Kisses and Springtime Wishes

Cat Guardians is an amazing, no-kill shelter and sanctuary for cats and kittens.

We have had a lot of cats and kittens come into our shelter during 2021, and 2022 is starting off equally busy.

Our biggest expenses are vet care, which includes not only routine medical visits, but also acute care and spay/neuter for some cats. Plus, daily needs like food, litter and other supplies.

Our shelter is entirely funded by giving donors like you. Please consider making a donation to help us care for stray and abandoned cats and kittens in our community.

Campaign Details

Last year was a busy time at Cat Guardians, with 29 cats and kittens placed in their forever homes.  This year has started off equally busy.  Kitten season has already arrived, and we currently have 3 litters under our care, including momma Lonnie and her 5 kittens pictured here.  Caring for a mom and 5 kittens until they are ready for adoption will cost about $2,000 (including food and litter for 5 months, routine medical care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter).   Plus, we have a regular flow of stray and abandoned cats who need our help to find forever homes, and a number of cats who live at the shelter permanently because they are not suited for adoption.

In the past, we hosted our Chocolate Sunday fundraising event every February to help cover the shelter's ongoing costs.  While the cats and kittens continue to need our care and support, we've had to cancel Chocolate Sunday two years in a row due to COVID concerns.

To fill the gap, we will host our first ever “GivingGrid” fundraiser during the month of May.  Our goal is to raise $5,000 to fill the gap left by Chocolate Sunday. All funds raised will go toward the cost of food and medical care for the cats in our care.

With GivingGrid you pick a square, enter a donation amount, and upload a picture of your favorite furry friend. Then, share our campaign with your human friends on social media. All donations are securely handled through PayPal, and you don’t need a PayPal account to donate.

Our shelter is entirely funded by generous donors like you. Cat Guardians is an all-volunteer organization. So please, make a donation through our virtual Chocolate Sunday GivingGrid!  With your help, we can continue to meet the needs of vulnerable animals in our area. We truly appreciate the continued kindness and generosity of our wonderful supporters!!!

Please share our Giving Grid with your friends and family, and together we can meet our goal!
