Valentine's Day Medical Needs

Urgent help needed for 4 AmsterDog Rescues!

At AmsterDog, we LOVE our donors and supporters. Because we know we can count on you to help meet the financial expenses of saving shelter pets with severe medical needs - like Bruno, Slade, Papo, and Zorra - all of whom have suffered severe illnesses or injuries costing nearly $10,000 in recent veterinary expenses to help them have a shot at health and a loving forever home. This Valentine's Day, can we count on YOU to help them?

Campaign Details

So many rescues have to turn away pleas to save pets with illnesses and injuries simply because of lack of funding. But because of the amazing generosity and dedication of AmsterDog's donors and supporters, we have always taken the leap of faith that our supporters will continue to come through and stand behind us financially when we pull a sick or injured pet from the shelter.

Slade is a sweet 2 year old pup who was abused and used as a fighting/bait dog. Thankfully, he was seized from that situation, but then wound up in the shelter. So far, his expenses to treat his multitude of wounds has been $1,800 to date.

5-Year old Papo suffers with excruciating pain in his eyes due to a condition called Entroprion where the eyelids grow inward, damaging the cornea. And he has the condition in all four of his eyelids. The cost for his surgeries to date has been $3,500 and counting.

Bruno, 3 years old, was rescued from the shelter with severe kennel cough (CIRDC) and it was then discovered that he was also bleeding internally, which turned out to be due to ulcers in his GI tract. His medical expenses thus far have been $1,300.

And, Zorra - the 5-year old superstar who had been hit by a car when wandering the streets of NYC only to find herself paralyzed in her hind legs, scared, and alone in the shelter. But she was determined to not only survive, but to overcome the impossible, and attempt to walk again. After $12,000 in surgeries and physical therapy, she is well on her way and has already been walking with assistance. Most recently, she just underwent another Osteotomy (bone graft surgery) and more physical therapy costing another $3,000, bringing the total invested in this very special dog to approximately $15,000 to date.

But, like AmsterDog, we know that our supporters agree that each and every precious life, like those above, are more than worth the investment. Every precious life deserves a chance at health, happiness, and a loving forever home.

This Valentine's Day, can we count on you to help make that possible for Slade, Bruno, Papo, and Zorra?

Remember, every dollar counts. Even if it means sacrificing a latte one day of the week, is it not worth it to save these precious lives and give them the medical care they desperately need? No gift is too large or too small.

From the bottom of our hearts to the tips of our tails, we *thank you*, our faithful and caring AmsterDog supporters, for your generosity.

Thank you for helping to maximize your donation further by sharing this campaign on your social media channels with friends and family.
