Campaign Details
The National Animal Rights Day (NARD), established by the non-profit Our Planet. Theirs Too., is observed annually on the first Sunday of June, in dozens of cities around the world. Even though it's a grassroots volunteer-based effort, it is one of the largest globally-coordinated events for animals in the entire world!
All NARD events are dedicated solely to animals. They start with a moving Memorial Ceremony to commemorate the billions of animals who die every year by human hands, but end on a hopeful note - with a Celebration of the animals in our lives, and the major steps that are being made each year towards ending their suffering.
On Sunday June 2, 2019, the 9th NARD will be observed in such cities as Los Angeles, Berkeley, Seattle, Denver, New York, Dallas, Phoenix, Portland, Nashville (first time!), Toronto, Montreal, Paris, Frankfurt, Copenhagen (first time!), London (first time!) Hong kong, Taipei and more!
Producing so many events around the world requires a lot of funds - specifically needed for:
- Location fees and permits
- Printing thousands of shirts, signs, banners and fliers
- Setting up multiple booths in each city
- Food for thousands of people
- Electricity and generators
- Sound systems
- Transportation
- Insurance
This year, these expenses are estimated at more than $10,000!
Since this is solely a grassroots, volunteers-based operation, supported and sustained by donations from good, animal-loving people like you, we need your help! Every donation helps us tremendously, and all donations are tax-deductible!
Will you help us?
For the animals,
The NARD Team
