Buy a Square! Help a Pug! 2018

Pacific Pug Rescue is a non-profit organization located in the Pacific Northwest. We are committed to saving the Pugs who need us most – the discarded and abandoned, seniors and special needs.  Every year, PPR issues an annual calendar. This year we want to ask our supporters to provide photos for our 2019 Calendar. By doing so, you will also be making a tax deductible donation so we can guarantee we always have a spot for any Pug that needs us!

Campaign Details

Pacific Pug Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Portland, Oregon. PPR has been rescuing, rehabilitating and placing discarded, neglected and abused Pugs in permanent adoptive homes since 2006 (that's over 10 years!)  Pug lovers from Canada to California seek us out to adopt a Pug to be a part of their own families.

Over the past few years, our focus has shifted to saving all the seniors and special needs pug that comes our way. More than 50% the dogs coming into rescue are over the age of NINE! Many of us have soft spots for the seniors and differently-abled.  If you have ever been lucky enough to have been loved by a senior or special needs Pug, you know what amazing, resilient creatures they are. Their ability to love is endless. Senior Pugs typically come in needing much more vet care than the younger ones.  In general, they have suffered years or even a lifetime of neglect and it can be extremely costly helping them to become healthy again. Did you know our average vet costs per dog are $1,100? And for a senior Pug this figure can easily double, or even triple.

PPR has started a Furever Foster Program. Pugs who are not adoptable because of terminal illness, constant medical needs, or special emotional needs are given a permanent home with one of our amazing foster families. Our foster families commit to a lifetime of love and care for the time they have left. PPR provides food, supplies and medical treatment for each dog in the Furever Foster program. You can see our Furever fosters here http://www.pacificpugrescue.org/furever

As a well-respected rescue, we are dedicated to saving as many Pugs as we can.  Our goal is to always have space in foster homes and funds to feed and medically treat our rescues so that we never have to turn down a sweet senior or special needs Pug.

How does this work, you ask? Easy peasy! Simply click on a square of the desired donation and upload a photo you wish to share for a chance to be a part of PPR's 2019 Calendar.  Your tax deductible donation today will help us continue to guarantee that no senior Pug is left behind!

This year we have guest Celebrity Judge PPR Alumni Suji @newoldpugsuji stopping in to give everyone tips on how to take a great picture...Suji will be picking her favorite photo and they will  win a prize pack specially chosen by Suji!
