Continued:
Auntie Dawn of the West told us about a very special little hound, who is black and white and very skinny. She was bailed out of the South Los Angeles Shelter. Emaciated, Upper respiratory infections, dental disease and horrible skin issues. Hmmmmm. So L.A. shelter... That is just a few miles from the University of Southern California. Ding ding. Although Auntie Donna lived her whole life in New Jersey....she attended USC!!
The Official Motto of the Pittsburgh Penguins is, “Changing Lives through the power of hockey.” Their colors are black, gold and white. With that in mind, the volunteer who bailed her wanted to name her in honor of his favorite hockey coach. Auntie Dawn of the West looked at the little shelter hound and knew her name! PENGUIN!! Penguin’s life and that of her new friends could be changed by using the power of Auntie Donna Funk’s generosity.
The Danbury Mint Christmas Tree is an exceptionally rare item. It is a foot tall and covered with happy hounds. It has working lights and a star on top. It spent some time in Pennsylvania being restored by the expert hands of Bill Himmelsbach. It is BOOTIFUL.
This fabulous tree might be yours. YOU CAN NOT BUY ONE! You can pick your squares to make a tax deductible donation to help PENGUIN and remember Auntie Donna Funk. I can hear her laughing from above.
