#GivingTuesday2022 for Peppertree

With inflation and increases in the cost of both transport and veterinary care, rescue expenses have dramatically increased. Dogs seem to be in greater need then ever before. We need your help.  Our volunteers give their time, love, and energy, but that is not enough.

November 29th is #GivingTuesday. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good and help others. Please help us continue to do the work we love, to help us do good, and to keep helping dogs in need.

While we are ever grateful to our community of supporters for helping us do the important work we do, in terms of our expenses versus our donations this was another hard year for us.  Many of our local dogs required extra medical care, and the price of gasoline made transports more expensive. We never want to leave a dog in need. Last year our average cost per dog was over $1000 - this year we expect it to be even higher.

GivingTuesday falls on November 29th, four days after Black Friday and the day after Cyber Monday. We hope you have a tiny bit left for us. If we can get enough people to give us a small amount, we can head into the New Year with renewed finances and strength.  Our volunteers give so much -- but time, love and energy are not enough.

Why do we give?  We give because of Butterfinger, Mars, Nestle, Reeses, Twizzler, Gumdrop, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Skittles & Truffle (the Candy Litter) - ten puppies who were bottle fed and who required multiple veterinary visits, including emergency visits during their first few days of life.

Why do we give?  We give because of dogs like Kira, who has been in foster for almost a full year and is now sharing her foster home with the Candy Litter, helping to raise them and teach them the rules of the house.

Why do we give?  We give because of former strays like Cyprus, Pepper and Alicia, who are all waiting patiently for new homes and their forever people.

Why do we give?  We give because of dogs like Wanda, who traveled all the way from Texas and needed time to learn how to live with humans in an indoor home.

We know a lot of people are struggling too, so if you're not in the position to donate, you can also help by sharing our campaign or -- even better -- start your own fundraising campaign by clicking the button above that says “Fundraise for this Campaign.” It’s so simple.

Somehow we always find a way to make it through for our dogs, and we know it is because of the support of all of you.  Peppertree Rescue has been a part of this community for over 20 years and has helped save many dogs, but we need financial support to continue fulfilling our mission.

Please continue that support, please help us help Peppertree dogs.

Thank you!
