Our sweet boy now needs an MRI just to tell us exactly what we are dealing with.
That MRI alone will cost approximately $5,000.
And if it confirms what his neurologist and medical team fear, Jasper may need radiation.
His care could cost SNARR upwards of $20,000.
Twenty. Thousand. Dollars.
For one dog.
And we know there will be people who read that number and question it.
Why would a rescue spend that much on one dog?
But here’s the thing.
We don’t question it.
Do we panic about how we’re going to pay for it? Absolutely.
Do we lose sleep over the bills? All the time.
Do we wonder how on earth we are going to raise another $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000 when there are already so many animals depending on us?
Of course we do.
But we do not look at Jasper and decide his life isn’t worth the cost.
That isn’t who we are.
Jasper was a SNARR dog five years ago. And Jasper is a SNARR dog today.
There is no expiration date on our promise to them.
Not after five years.
Not when they get old.
Not when they get sick.
Not when the diagnosis is terrifying.
And not when the price tag makes our stomachs drop.
We stand by our dogs. Period.
Jasper didn’t choose to come back.
He didn’t choose to be sick.
He didn’t choose for his body to betray him at the same time his entire world was changing.
But somehow, after everything, this gentle boy is still trusting us to make it better.
He is “one in a million.”
And now we need a village willing to believe that one life in a million is worth fighting for.
We desperately need to raise the money for Jasper’s MRI and, if the diagnosis is confirmed, the radiation treatments that could follow.
We are potentially staring at a $20,000 medical journey, and we cannot do this without you.
Please don’t scroll past him.
And if you truly cannot donate, please share him. Share him like he belongs to you. Share him until his face reaches the person who can help us save him.
Because maybe Jasper didn’t expect to find himself back at SNARR five years later.
But if he had to come back anywhere, we are so damn grateful he came back to us.
Because we remember the promise we made to him.
And we intend to keep it.
No matter how many years have passed.
No matter how difficult it gets.
No matter what it costs.
Jasper came home to SNARR when he needed us most.
Now we need you.
Please help us fight for our one-in-a-million boy.
Donate. Share. Pray. Please don’t let us fight this one alone.
