Valentine's Day is a day set aside to show those we love just how much we care. For many, that means a nice dinner out, a box of candy, or flowers for a significant other. At Adopt a Cat, our volunteers show love every day to the cats and kittens in our care. We hope you will join us leading up to Valentine's Day by donating through our safe, online Giving Grid. Select a heart, upload a photo of your loved one (be they human or a furry friend), or write a message, and make your donation today.
Adopt a Cat Foundation and our foster-care guardians provide safe shelter and loving care to homeless, abandoned, abused, injured and ill cats and kittens. Most of the cats that cross our threshold have been let down in some way by humans, so our volunteers take their jobs of caring for this vulnerable population very seriously.
Everything we do is with our mission in mind. Veterinary care is primary to that mission. In addition to daily operating expenses, such as rent for the shelter (in Lake Park) and our thrift store (in Juno Beach), we must keep up with extensive veterinary expenses, including surgeries, spay / neuter services, medications, vaccinations, disease testing, flea and deworming medications, microchips, follow-up treatments, etc. While we are blessed with a caring veterinarian who works with us on behalf of our cats' medical needs, medical expenses continue to grow as we help even more cats. The cost of providing nutritious food, supplements, cat litter, cleaning supplies, and so much more for approximately 60 cats and kittens is a never ending challenge.
Keeping our cats healthy and thriving, when the need in Palm Beach County is so great and our coffers so small often prompts our volunteers to dig into their own pockets.
We hope you will join us in our mission to rescue these innocent felines. Ways you can help:

We know that you get bombarded with multiple fundraising appeals. We also know we are competing for your attention with larger, more visible rescue organizations with hefty advertising budgets. Our small size creates many challenges for us, and visibility is one of them. As a small organization that receives no government funding, each donation is invested in keeping our cats happy, healthy, sheltered, thriving and loved until we can find them their forever homes.
Our small size, and the fact that we operate solely using volunteers, also allows us to provide loving one-on-one care to each and every cat and kitten that comes through our door. We hope you will join us in our important mission to show these felines that the world CAN be a safe, loving, and compassionate place.
Please join us with a gift of love today.
