Help us Help Bo the Puppy: Medical Issue

Urgent help needed for Bo!

Bo came from a litter of unwanted puppies in NE Iowa. Owners gave away the parent dogs & other puppies but could not find a home for Bo. They asked if we could take in Bo and we did. Bo had 1st shots done already. Our foster home noticed an abscess in his mouth, so he went to the vet. He had his exam & the vet referred us to another vet that had a dental x-ray. At this vet, the X-rays- both regular skull images & more detailed dental X-rays - showed that the left side of Bo's jaw is significantly thicker than the right side. It revealed a questionable area around one of his molar roots. This could be what's called a dentigerous cyst or possibly a tooth root abscess Given the complexity of Bo's case, his next step is seeing a specialist - either a veterinary dentist or an orthopedist.
