Giving Tuesday was created to unite us all in a day of generosity, to make a difference in the world any way we choose at the start of this busy holiday season.
Help us make the most of our 2:1 matching funds today!
You can protect wild animals and the habitat they require along with Forest Animal Rescue - and show off your support with a great photo!
At Forest Animal Rescue, one of our core missions is to provide safe, sustainable release sites for rehabilitated native wildlife that cannot return to their original habitats. Rapid, ongoing development across Florida has made this need more urgent than ever.
When wild animals such as bobcats, raccoons, herons, and hawks are injured or orphaned, licensed wildlife rehabilitators work to restore them to health with the goal of returning them to the wild—ideally, to the exact location where they were found. Increasingly, however, these animals come from construction zones, parking lots, and other disturbed environments where their native habitat has been destroyed. Returning them to these locations is no longer possible.
Rehabilitators are prohibited from releasing animals on public land. Without access to appropriate private habitat, otherwise healthy wildlife may face euthanasia simply because a safe release site does not exist.
At Forest Animal Rescue, we are expanding our habitat protection program to meet this growing need. We secure and steward private lands that adjoin extensive public conservation areas, creating ideal release sites that allow wildlife to reenter the ecosystem safely and naturally.
Depending on the needs of each species, we can offer landscapes free from human presence or carefully managed areas that provide temporary, minimal support while the animals regain their full ability to survive independently.
Your support helps ensure that rescued native wildlife has a second chance—one grounded in protected habitat, ecological integrity, and long-term survival.
Helping animals for over 27 years - thanks to support like yours!

About the Organization
Since 1998, Forest Animal Rescue has worked to safeguard wildlife and the natural spaces they depend on. Today, our focus is on protecting vital habitat used for the safe release of rehabilitated wild animals and on educating the public about how human activity affects wildlife and the environment. We also share our decades of experience in managing captive wildlife with accredited sanctuaries and rehabilitation centers nationwide.
