HELP - BartelBEE can't SEE

Urgent help needed for Bartelbee!

Bartelbee is suffering from a horrible double eye infection as a result of a URI.  He has been transferred from another rescue that could not treat him, to Cats Cradle Shelter in Fargo, ND where he is being treated very aggressively by our veterinarian with medications and surgery.  We are trying our hardest to save both eyes.  Please donate and please share our fundraiser.

Campaign Details

Cats Cradle Shelter is known for taking these difficult cases and we need your help to try and save Bartelbee's eyes.  He will be under the close supervision of our vet over the next 5 days.

Bartelbee was originally rescued by the Marshmallow Foundation on October 16, 2017.  He remained in their care until this morning when he was transferred to Cats Cradle Shelter by his foster mom, Connie, after it was determined they did not have the resources to give him the medical care he required.  We immediately sent him to our partnering Veterinarian, Dr. Charly Stansbery of Red Barn Veterinary Services who is going to do everything she can to save his sight.  We are very optomistice we can save the left eye, the right eye is much more severe.  Dr. Charly performed a grid keratectomy on the left eye.  She removed excessive granulation tissue and did the same thing to the right eye.  Now what he needs is time, pain control and medications.  We are in a wait and see holding pattern to see if he will require a second surgery to have the eye removed next week...please donate and share this fundraiser.

Here is Bartelbees medication schedule:

Atropine 6 times for day 1 then twice daily.
Ciprofloxaxin or tobramycin 6 times daily.
Blood Serum 6 times daily.
Buprenorphine q 6 hrs 0.1 ml po
onsior 1 tab once daily x 6 days
Famcyclovir 1/2 tab of 125mg twice daily X 14 days

*If we raise more than Bartelbee needs, the balance will be used on another urgent need cat.

    UPDATE 2 days POST surgery:

We are BEYOND thrilled with Bartelbee"s progress just TWO DAYS post surgery.  We were informed by our veterinarian that he will probably need a second surgery, but....NOT to remove the eye.  The right eye was in very bad shape and hopefully the second surgery will be a little easier.  As you can see from these before and after photos, the eyes have BOTH improved greatly.  Thank you to everyone who donated.  Cats like Bartelbee rely on us for their second chances and we rely on you, our wonderful supporters and donors, to help us fund these important procedures.  Thank you!
