GIVING TUESDAY!

Saving Lives with Saving Paws Rescue, Inc.

We desperately need your help!

Saving Paws Rescue, Inc. has been saving the lives of homeless and neglected pets since 2011. Vetting, neutering/spaying, providing good quality food, medicines and veterinary care is all very expensive. Some of our rescue dogs need training, others have long term medical needs.

We cannot do this alone; we desperately need your donations to continue to save the lives of these often abandoned pets.

Our vet bill is over $4000 and we can’t save anymore till we can pay that down.  In just the past two weeks, our expenses have mounted:

Muppet came from the same shelter as Malcolm (below).  With cloudy eyes, we weren’t sure how much he could see.  After a trip to the eye specialist, his left eye was diagnosed with chronic glaucoma which left him with irreversible blindness, the eye was removed on Tuesday.  The right eye needs cataract surgery, we are waiting on the estimate but have an approximate.  We can’t get him the surgery until we have the funds.

Costs for Muppet:

$600 left eye removal

$1600 (approximate, we are waiting on the estimate)

Malcolm who is an 11 year old lab mix was surrendered to the shelter and absolutely petrified of the kennel.  Because of a foster with a huge heart, we were able to get him out the same day and into a warm foster home for the holiday.  We’ve had him checked out and vaccinated, along with blood work in preparation for his neuter in a week.

Livvy came to us from another shelter with a bad skin condition.  We have her on meds and hope we can get her to be more comfortable and her hair will start to grow back.  There is obviously an infection going on and until we can figure out the cause, we will have to wait to have her spayed.

Our food costs for the year will reach close to $8000.00

In addition our cost  to feed the feral cat colony we care for will be over $1600.00

And then there are the huge veterinary expenses.

We have depleted our funds and it’s sad to say that innocent dogs will pays with their lives because we can’t afford to save them.  Our priority right now is to get the dogs in our care all the medical help they need so that we can move on to finding them their forever homes.

Your donations will make a difference! Muppet, Malcolm, Livvy, and all the dogs in our care thank you in advance for your generosity.
