Say YES to our REScue!

Our no-kill REScue is very small, and this has been a very critical year for us. Adoptions have been slow and kitten season put us over our maximum. We need help with our veterinary bills, including costs of spay/neuter. Also, we would like to move forward on making our Cat Pad more welcoming to visitors and potential adopters to help get our wonderful cats, especially those with easy special needs, like little HERO, a forever home.

Dear Wonderful Donors, from Lifeline for Pets,

WE MADE IT! WE REACHED OUR GOAL, AND EXCEEDED IT!

We can't thank you enough . . .but we'll try!

Our original goal was $3,200. Thanks to all of you--our wonderful, caring supporters, we raised $3,425!! We are purring with delight!

Three of the things we wanted to do when we began this campaign were 1) to start beautiful calico kitty, Kayley, on a monitored diet to lose weight; 2) give our cat pad facility a bit of a makeover to make visitors and potential adopters feel welcomed and help our free-range cats be more comfortable, and 3) provide for "kitten season" by having the funds for their veterinary care and altering before adoption. The UPDATE is that Kayley has lost some weight, our cat pad's improvements have begun, and this season's 20+ kittens are being well cared for, some with adoptions already pending.

YOU were able to make this happen!

We promise we will keep working hard, doing what we do for our precious animals that you have helped us save, to make their dreams--chances for a loving, lifelong home--come true. Please spread the word about us, for the more special animals lovers, like yourselves, who know about us, the better are the opportunities for our beautiful cats and kittens to find loving, forever homes.

    THANK YOU, AGAIN!

    Kathy, Shazi, & Marilyn

and ALL the 2-legged and furry 4-legged Lifeline sweeties!

Dear Wonderful Donors, from Lifeline for Pets,

    WAY TO GO!

Thank you so much for caring and for your wonderful donations to our Giving Grid campaign. It will go a long way towards helping this cause.

We have sent a personal reply to each one of you on the Giving Grid, and we hope you have seen it. We are now sending this message to let you know that, as of Tuesday (yesterday), we have raised 50% of our fundraising goal! Our goal is $3,200, and we now have $1,595!

Thanks to your generosity on the Giving Grid, Kayley is now on her special diet food and has lost 2 pounds. She has more to lose, and even though we've had to semi-isolate her to do this, she is still surrounded by other cats, and receives lots of attention from our volunteers--although an adoption would be ideal.  As for our 3 cat pad rooms--one room's walls have been painted and the ceiling will be, soon. We still have 2 more rooms to go. Also, since we are now in "kitten season," we have several kittens to whom we have given and will give much special care. As our Giving Grid reaches 100%, we will have the needed funds to complete these goals.

We promise we will keep working hard, doing what we do for our precious animals that you have helped us save, to make their dreams--chances for a loving, lifelong home--come true. Please spread the word about us, and forward our Giving Grid link to any of your contacts that you think would help finish our Grid.

    Next stop--100%!

    Sincerely,

    Kathy, Shazi, & Marilyn

BELOW: Here is a picture of 2 of our kittens, Echo (female) and Hero (male). Hero, on the left, was born with his back legs in the wrong direction, but he is such a cutie pie! We are in the process of determining his treatment, and are looking for a special home or foster home for both kittens--one that will be part of Hero's medical team with us. More pictures of them and their videos are on our website, at www.lifelineforpets.org, or call 626-676-9505 for more information.

Campaign Details

Who We Are

Lifeline for Pets is a small, no-kill rescue organization based in Pasadena, California. We are all volunteer, and we provide care for homeless cats until a loving home can be found. Our goal is to help these deserving animals have a long, happy life!

Our Medical Needs

It costs a lot to meet the needs of our kitties--bottle babies, growing kittens, adult cats, senior cats, and special needs cats--all are vetted. From kitten vaccines, spay & neuter, health exams, annual vaccines, and microchips--we have it all!

Our Cat Pad

We rent a very small facility (see pictures) where we house several of our cats and kittens, including some very skittish cats and some with easy special needs, such as male kitten, HERO, in our main picture, who was born with 2 deformed back legs. We've started some of the work already, thanks to early donations, and we're about one third of the way finished. We feel that if we can give these cats more opportunities to be seen in their comfortable environment, they may have better chances at getting adopted. If we can spruce up our cat pad with just some paint and a few nicer chairs for people, visitors and potential adopters may be more inclined to stay longer and get to know some of these cats and want to adopt from us.
