Wild Blue Cats!

We're raising money to go towards the care of our cats! No matter how expensive the required medical care, we give our rescue cats the best possible treatment options and a loving sanctuary environment to live the healthiest, happiest lives, including those cats with terminal illnesses. In addition to our sanctuary, we have an expansive foster system and a feral enclosure.

Campaign Details

Since its launch in 2010, Wild Blue has saved the lives of over 2500 animals, with rescue efforts and adoptions spreading to as far away as Nebraska and North Carolina. With our focus on the feline population of the Colorado Springs area, thanks to your caring support, the Sanctuary rescued more than 580 cats and kittens in need during 2016! Wild Blue also has an active foster program with more than 50 animals currently being served.

That rescued number included outdoor kittens and pregnant feral mothers brought into the Wild Blue program from trap-neuter-return (TNR), transfers from other rescues and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, strays & relinquishments. Each cat or kitten is spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption, to ensure we do our part to cut down on Colorado's feline overpopulation problem.

We found loving homes for a total of nearly 500 of kitties rescued during the past year. Though we lost a few precious lives to untreatable health issues, the others were placed into foster care or are living happily at the Sanctuary. None of this live saving work would be possible without YOU!

We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our individual donors, grantors and fundraising partners who supported us in 2016! We would not be able to exist without the dollars given and partnerships formed with these organizations. Thank you to the ASPCA Adoption Ambassador Program Grant and the Subaru "Share the Love" Event Grant; Best Friends Animal Society – Save them All and Zappos.com free adoption promotion; Colorado Gives Day; Colorado Pet Overpopulation License Plate Fund Grant & Tax Check Off Fund; GreaterGood.Org; Love Animals and the Saving Pets Challenge. Also, the Petco Foundation and the Hambrick Fund have given Wild Blue grants for 2017. Thank you!
