Campaign Details
As only a 3 month old puppy, Heidi was new to this world when she was abandoned on the side of the road. A kind stranger seeing this hapless German shepherd stopped to pick her up and brought her to our shelter.
Sadly, Heidi's back legs were paralyzed. Not knowing what caused her inability to walk, we decided she deserved a chance and began helping her strengthen her hind legs with physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. Inspiring hope, Heidi began to show improvement! However her situation recently took a turn for the worse and she no longer has any movement or sensation to her hind legs and appears to be in pain.
Our first campaign to raise funds for her fell short only allowing us to raise enough to cover her initial hydrotherapy appointments. Now that Heidi needs an MRI to see what is causing her condition and to determine if there is any hope for her to walk again, we need to ask for your help. We need to raise at least $2,500 to cover the cost of the MRI and possibly more if they decide that surgery is an option. She is a large dog and although a wheelchair may be her only alternative if there is a chance she could walk again we want to take it.
Heidi was found helpless and alone, but with your help we can can give her a chance to find a family. Please help Heidi by donating today.
