Thank You Gifts
Campaign Details
As most of you know, we have an INCREDIBLE staff! They are loyal, hard-working, ethical, kind and talented.
Here's just a few of the reasons we are trying to help them:
Rachel had back surgery and was not able to work during recovery. Then COVID happened and now she can't return to work. She has medical bills and a daughter in college.
Jazmine is getting married in September. She was working to support herself and save up for her wedding. As a server, she's not able to work again until we open the dining room.
Nicole, another server, has two little adorable kids. She was one of Black Forest's first hires in 2014!
Ashtin is a senior heading to college next year. He was working to pay for college. Your donation will keep him from using his college savings during this time!
The platform we are using does not charge fees. They simply keep the cost of credit card processing so nearly 100% of what you donate will go directly to the staff. If you want 100% to go to our team, there are plenty of other ways you can help! Send a check directly to Black Forest (made payable to "Black Forest" with "Staff Fund" in the Memo line), purchase gift certificates (10% of the value will go into our staff fund) or mail other gift certificates to Black Forest for us to distribute to our staff (grocery, gas, Amazon, etc).
Unfortunately, we are not a 501c3 so there won't be any tax advantages to helping our staff but we'd like to thank you with some BF loot for donations starting at $50.
We are working on applying for grants and SBA relief loans to keep our remaining staff employed with full pay, but even if we are accepted, we will have gaps to fill for our front-of-house staff who cannot work until the dining room re-opens.
We thank you deeply for your consideration. Every $ counts!
Warmly,
The Black Forest Family
NOTE!!! This giving platform is free to us, but as we've now learned, they will encourage you to add to your donation so that they can operate. This is NOT necessary! You will need to "edit" their amount and change it to "$0". Don't hit "Cancel" or it will start the process over. We're sorry for this as it is misleading and confusing but out of our control.
