Help make the new VRC Sanctuary a safe and secure place by "adopting a fence".

For a $75 (or more) donation, you will help pay for a section of our perimeter fence surrounding our 13 acre sanctuary property.

With each donation, we will memorialize your gift by placing your name on your "adopt a fence" section.

Tia's kids are who'll be burning the messages into the fence, thus sponsors must be patient as writing on each section takes a lot of time!

Update on the progress of the Villalobos Rescue Center Sanctuary "Adopt a Fence"

    Dear Donors,

I wanted to update you all on the status of the fence.

As some of you no doubt now know from our Facebook posts, on Friday evening, January 15, 2016, Tia Torres broke her leg in two places. She has had to be hospitalized several times since breaking her leg by jumping over the couch due to swelling complications and a blood clot. This is very serious and she's still in a lot of pain.

Being a person who is a very active, and 'hands-on' Director of the rescue group, it is killing her not to be able to work or drive for the next several months. But, I think more than that, I think she hates having to rely on other people and asking for help. No doubt, the universe is telling her slow down.

With that in mind, we have had to put the Adopt a Fence project on hold for a while. We are still going to do it as soon as we can, but we wanted to give everyone an update in case they didn't hear about Tia's misfortune.

Should anyone want a refund, we will certainly accommodate them immediately. We NEVER expected it to be SO popular...which is a testimony to the animal lovers out there.

Thank you for your continued patience. We look forward to the next update when we can show all of our generous supporters the first few inscriptions which each will take a few hours to burn into the fence.

We thank you and are humbled by everyone's kindness.

Thank you so much for caring enough about homeless dogs to make a donation for our 'Adopt a Fence' project and leave a permanent legacy. As we enter into the new year of 2016 and wind down this project, we wanted to take a moment to thank you.

We will be ending this project very soon. Would you be so kind to share this site http://givinggrid.com/adoptafence/ ? That would help us a whole bunch!

Should you wish to purchase one or more fence panels for a gift or another special message, please do so by the end of the calendar year.

We will be sending out an email to each donor to ask everyone for their inscriptions in case they want to change their original messages to be put on their individual fence panel. The burning of the messages into the fence panels will be done by hand.

Again, thank you so much for participating in a substantial milestone toward achieving Tia's dream of developing this sanctuary one project at a time to make it a reality for homeless dogs.

Campaign Details

The ADOPT-A-FENCE program has been designed to give people the opportunity to adopt an eight-foot section of the Villalobos Rescue Sanctuary fence. An attractive message recognizing you as that section's sponsor will be burned into the wooden fence. We believe this is a terrific opportunity to raise money to cover part of the fencing construction costs and show our thanks for your donation. Sections will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis so sponsor your section of fence NOW!

Please make sure we have your correct contact information and what you would like us to write on the fence for your message. Examples: "Donated by Debbie and John", "In Memory of Fido" or "In honor of Uncle Joe Smith" or "To honor of our daughter Amanda Pennington."
