Raising for Rolex

ROLEX NEEDS YOU! Rolex was found as a stray in Southern Iowa. The local shelter realized his eye issues where causing him a great deal of pain & more than they could handle. They called Animal Lifeline of Iowa, a special needs, no-kill shelter to assist. Sadly, Rolex had to have both eyes removed due to severe glaucoma. This surgery carried a big cost and ALI needs your help in covering the expenses related to Rolex's care.

Campaign Details

Animal Lifeline of Iowa (ALI) is a special needs, no-kill animal shelter, celebrating 30 years of serving the Des Moines area and all of Iowa, who rescues cats and dogs that are injured, handicapped, have a serious medical condition, abused, pregnant and nursing moms, or orphans that require bottle feeding. We rehabilitate the animals, who run a higher risk of euthanization in a traditional shelter setting, and then adopt them into loving forever homes.

Rolex was found as a stray in Southern Iowa. The local shelter realized his eye issues where causing him a great deal of pain & more than they could handle. Animal Lifeline was called to assist. Rolex was diagnosed with glaucoma in both eyes by ALI's vet; the left being much worse and causing an extreme amount of pain. In June 2016 the left eye was removed, hoping the right eye could be saved. On July 26, Rolex had emergency surgery to remove his right eye as it became increasingly painful. He is such a great dog with a happy personality; he is expected live happily as many blind dogs do!
