We expanded our free spay/neuter program from Dekalb County to the entire state of Georgia on February 25th. Within 12 hours we've had almost 100 requests for help, with new requests coming in every few minutes!! We don't have the funds to cover this many surgeries. We need your help.
Why is spay/neuter so important for Georgia pit bulls? One unfixed female and one unfixed male dog and their offspring can create 67,000 dogs in just six years!!! Pit bulls are the number one dog in shelters. In metro Atlanta alone, there are over 500 pit bulls in animal control shelters!! There are not enough homes for all of these dogs. The solution to ending the euthanasia of pit bulls is to prevent them from coming into shelters in the first place. By spaying/neutering pit bulls, eventually the numbers coming into shelters will decrease dramatically, leading to lower euthanasia rates.
Please donate here to help us fund this program. 100% of donations go directly to paying the vet bills for owners in need. We are a 501c3 non profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible.
